01.

Initial Consultation

Once you are ready to design interiors of your Home or Commercial space, our experienced team of interior designers will schedule an on-site FREE consultation which will help us design your space matching to your taste and style whether it is modern or contemporary, traditional, trendy or minimalistic.In the initial stages, our team identifies the nature, location, purpose, space, and extent of the design work, understanding of client’s psychology, habits, color and style, etc. Written, sketched, and verbal brainstorming sessions take place where our interior designer visit the site, make sketches, understands and visualize the location and its orientation, space allocations and spatial relationships, color schemes, and the likes.Based on this consultation session, we will come up with initial conceptual drawing and ideas.

Schematic Design

In this Phase a concept is established, with initial Consultation Advance Fees our project’s team develops the scope of your space further by developing the home’s design features by selecting material finishes, plumbing fixtures, lighting, furniture and accessories.We develop ideas and presentations regarding furniture, lighting, and accessories. Here we provide a conceptual drawing, which includes scaled floor Plans, Elevation and to make understand the concept, it shows materials and finishes, mood boards, showcasing color, and the placement of the furniture.

Once you agreed on the scope and designs, we will provide you Plan options, an itemized work scope, and costs.We also establish the Time frame for completing the project, we make DesignServices Agreement, discuss and develop approximate rough budget.

03.

Final Design

  • MAKE ALL REQUISITE CHANGES TO DRAWINGS AND DESIGN CONCEPTS AS DETERMINED DURING PRELIMINARY DESIGN PRESENTATION
  • DEVELOP CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS, including all Plans, Elevations, Plumbing, Electrical and all services plans, etc.
  • We prepare outlining of specificationand detail interior plans for General Contractors and sub-contractorsREQUIRED FOR quoting the scope of work
  • REVIEW AND APPROVE FINAL DRAWINGS WITH CLIENT

When the design and selections of materials, fixtures, accessories, etc for your home has been approved by you, the implementation process of the design begins.We also if required schedule meetings at local showrooms to view the proposed furniture and other accessories in store.This is also the phase where we work closely with an architectural vision to develop construction documents, including all Plan, Elevation, Plumbing, Electrical and all services plans etc.We prepare specification outlining in detail the intent of the design, as well as interior plans for General Contractors and sub-contractors to begin quoting the scope of work. We review these specifications with you to ensure all function needs are delineated.

Here we will provide the construction drawings which includes;

  1. Design elements (window treatments, wall coverings and paint).
  2. Architectural features (such as windows, doors, elevation, sections).
  3. False ceiling plans (lighting fixtures),
  4. Final Floor plans, Electrical and Plumbing services Plans and all related Working drawings.

2D drawings are made explaining every single detail until the client’s doubts are clear. The illustrations, at this point, also include a written specifications list which describes in detail all materials and furnishing to be acquired, and a schedule listing the kind, finishes, and placement of the design and architectural elements

04.

Tendering

  • BILL OF QUANTITY BASED ON FINAL APPROVED DRAWINGS
  • SELECT CONTRACTORS AND SUB CONTRACTORS
  • SUBMISSION OF FINAL DRAWING AND PROPOSAL TO CONTRACTORS FOR THE FURTHER BIDS FOR MATERIALS AND LABOUR
  • SIGNING OF CONTRACT WITH THE CLIENT

 After the client finally approves the Final drawings and sketches, we work out the cost estimates for the project, which includes everything from labour charging fees to materials charging fees. At this stage, the project costs can be Rough estimates, since precise expenses can be estimated at the final, working sketches and drawings are submitted to installers, suppliers, and contractors for their further bids for materials and labour. So the selected General Contractors and sub-contractors are assigned for the

Design Edge then come up with a project timeline or time frame, showcasing the events in consecutive, sequential, order, as well as proposes a completion date for the project. The final design document includes the sketches, schedules, specifications, and timeframes are what transform into the contract of the interior designer with the client.

05.

Final Delivery

 After all design has been freeze and materials have been ordered, we break ground and begin building. We work very closely with our/yours(if you insist) General Contractor to ensure all flooring, tiles, plumbing and electrical items get installed as per plan, functions correctly and looks beautiful.

At Design Edge every project is assigned a dedicated “Project Manager”. This person is responsible for ensuring a flawless and timely execution of your home’s construction and turnover. We are basically “on call” to make daily, weekly and monthly site visits and work very closely with all of our vendors, trades and sub contractors during the project’s partnership. Among construction management, our “PM” is also responsible for your project’s accounting, finances and purchasing.Then our job is ordering the accessories, furnishings, and materials, through the Project Manager/interior designer who isinvolved in managing and balancing budgets with the actual.

Our Project Manager/interior designer responsibility includes floor planning such as wooden works, modern electrical accessories selection, lighting fixtures selection, natural lightings, glamorous kitchens, custom cabinets selection, custom wooden door panels, Tables, designer fabric sofa, carpets, windows treatment, color schemes selections, upholstery selections, wall mounted modular wardrobes, wall paintings, wall papers, arts, fabulous antiques, interior glasses all required for the project.

Design Edge also takes responsibility of filtering the delivered goods with quality and corrects specification, marking, reordering, returning, and repairing items according to the client and project specifications. In this stage, Project Manager/interior designer make regular site visits for co-coordinating progress, inspecting the quality of work in progress, and resolving on-site issues, while managing budgets and schedules at the same time.

06.

Project Turnover

Closer to handover of your project, our team will attend to all snags and resolve them to your complete satisfaction while our site supervisor oversees a comprehensive deep cleaning. Our designer in charge will then meet with you at the site along with a handover checklist to ensure that you are satisfied with every aspect of the work done.

Post Completion Service

Once the project is complete, post-occupancy evaluations will be conducted to measure the success of the design solution after the assessments are done by talking to the client in detail and making revisions and adjustments wherever necessary.
